CHOOSING YOUR NEW BOILER/WATER HEATER
Instant water heaters, regular, system and combi boilers have different advantages and the choice depends
on your property and heating/hot water requirements.

Regular or 'open vent' boilers suit properties with low
mains water pressure. You will need the space to store cold water to refill the system
and keep hot water until you need it. If you want high pressure showers you will need
electric showers or shower pumps to boost water pressure.

'System' boilers are for properties with high mains water
pressure and the need for a large unvented hot water storage cylinder such as a MegaFlo.
This keeps lots of hot water available at mains pressure for showering or for top
floor bathrooms that normal copper cylinders can't feed due to low water pressure.

'Combi' boilers are useful when space isn't available
to store hot water. You get instant hot water when you need it, but smaller combis
can't supply more than one hot water outlet at a time and combis generally can't power
the heating and hot water at the same time.

'Instant' water heaters are perfect if you already have
electric heating or you need hot water where there is no existing supply.
Either gas or electric powered, you get instant hot water when you need it, from single
taps to whole house supplies.
